The Saints and Buccaneers have combined to win seven straight games, but something has to give when the two NFC South foes meet up Sunday night in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers are a -5 ½ favorite at home, despite playing on the short week after a win over the Giants Monday night in New York.

Saints Short Passing Game Is Key
New Orleans played a solid Chicago defense on Sunday, and they used a lot of short to intermediate passes to neutralize the Bears pass rush. Drew Brees completed over 75% of his passes for the 4th time in the last five games, going 31/41 for 280 yards and 2 TD, and was only sacked once by Chicago. The game plan should stay the same against Tampa Bay's #2 ranked defense in sacks/game (2.9).
The win over the Bears was the fourth in a row for Sean Payton's team, but each of them have been by less than one score. Those include a 35-29 win in Detroit, 30-27 vs. the Chargers, 27-24 vs. Carolina, and last week's 26-23 OT win at Chicago. New Orleans was favored in all those games though, and they'll be an underdog for the first time this season at Tampa Bay.
For as much pressure as the Saints offense can put on a team, New Orleans' defense has their work cut out for them against Tampa Bay's top 10 passing attack. The Saints' win streak has come against Nick Foles, Teddy Bridgewater, rookie Justin Herbert, and Matthew Stafford – all good, but not great quarterbacks who have tossed 11 TD to 2 INTs over that span.
Tampa Bay Finding a Way
The Buccaneers might have been guilty of looking ahead to Sunday night's game with New Orleans when they struggled to a 25-23 win against the 1-7 Giants on Monday night. The Bucs are back home though, where they are 3-0 on the season and have scored at least 31 points each game.
The last time Tampa Bay played at Raymond James Stadium was a 38-10 beatdown of then-undefeated Green Bay. The Buccaneers defense forced the first two INTs of the season for Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, and Tampa Bay used 166 yards on the ground to get the win as +3 point home underdogs.
The Buccaneers defense has been great this year, ranking #3 in total yards allowed / game and #1 against the run (70.4). As much as Sunday night's game has the potential to be an offensive showdown, stats were at a premium when the teams met up in the season opener, a 34-23 Saints home win. Tom Brady threw for 239 yards in that game, but also had two INTs. Brees was held to just 160 yards passing by the Tampa Bay defense in week one.
Our Pick:
It's hard to go against the Saints riding a 4-game win streak, especially with a point spread that seems a bit high at +4.5. New Orleans already has a win over Tampa Bay on the year, and the Buccaneers are playing on a short week after Monday night's game.
Brady and the bunch are heading for Chicago to play the first game of Week 5 against the Bears.
Chicago Bears vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Preview
Both teams are 3-1, with the note that the Bears lost the most recent match, while on the other side, Tampa has three straight wins. Chicago has a new QB, Nick Foles, who didn't have a memorable debut as a starter last week, but is ready to bounce back. Meanwhile, the Bucs' QB threw five TDs against the Chargers. His name is Tom Brady. Heard of him? Chicago's defense will be a massive test for him, and we can't wait to see how the 43-year old handles Khalil Mack and the rest of the crew.

Bears Struggling in Offense
When many finally saw a solution for Chicago's struggling offense in Nick Foles, the former Super Bowl MVP laid an egg. The Indianapolis Colts kept the veteran humble against them this Sunday, allowing him 249 passing yards with a pick and a TD. He was way under the expected level.
Allen Robinson II caught seven of Foles 26 completions for 101 yards and a TD, and was the only one able to create something in the attack. If it weren't for the Bears' ferocious defense, this match would be solved much earlier, with a bigger difference. My online casino.
One other factor needs to be mentioned, and that is Chicago's running game. Hosts had 28 rushing yards on 16 carries, which is embarrassing. David Montgomery had 27 in 10 snaps, and Cordarrelle Patterson 5 on three!
Just to remind you, that Bears have wins over the Lions, Giants, and the Falcons, all of them pretty tight and after hard and strange battles.
Tampa Bay Picking Up the Pace
Vegas Odds Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl
With three wins in a row, the Bucs are now looking very good. Slotanza no deposit. Yet we need to say that these guys had two mediocre teams against them in Weeks 2 and 3, Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos. On top of that, both franchises had problems with injuries. Dafabet malaysia link.
The latest triumph against the LA Chargers saw the Bucs rallying from a 24-7 deficit, and Brady coming back after an early pick-6. The six-time Super Bowl champ finished the game with five TD passes, all of them to different receivers.
With a win here, the Bucs would keep the first place in the NFC South ahead of the Saints and the Panthers. That scenario allows them to wait for the Green Bay Packers without pressure and with a 4-1 record.
Prediction
Vegas Odds Tampa Bay Buccaneers Score
The spread on the Buccaneers is -5.5, and that is pretty tempting. Brady has problems with interceptions this year, but we still believe in Tampa Bay's receiving core here. When compared to the Colts, they are much better, and Indianapolis won last week in the Windy City. Leonard Fournette should be back, which will be an additional reason to bet on the guests' win.
